Joshua Tree

We drove over to Joshua Tree National Park on Saturday. I had been wanting to go there for a long time. It was far more beautiful than I expected it to be. We drove through, looking at all these surreal looking trees, listening to old Fleetwood Mac songs, and for a moment there it felt like my heart was going to burst from joy. It is an amazing place.

It is fabulous. If you're reasonably nimble (and have good hiking boots on), there's excellent boulder hopping near the Indian Cove campground. You can spend an entire day slowly climbing up and down those ravines, and the view from higher up is pretty nice. (You have to be careful not to get in over your head, though, which I nearly did. Talk to the rangers...)

We hope to go back soon and camp there and spend more time exploring. I was amazed to see so many happy, healthy people walking around and climbing the rocks. It was almost like going back in time -- before this obesity epidemic took over.

Hi Theresa-

Looks like a beautiful place :D I've never been there, but my Dad used to take us to Yosemite a lot when we were kids.

Hi Muse,

I just want to thank you for your very inspiring blog. I've read it form start to finish! I'm starting my own journey with shifting the weight and hope that I demonstrate the same determination and grace as you did along the way. :0)

I too have read your blog start to finish at least two times. You are a huge inspiration. I love to see your updates. I've been low carb for the past year and I've reached a stall. I'm thinking about starting JUDDD.
