Normal Day 12 -- 145.2

This is the first time that I weighed more than I did on the previous "eat" day. The difference is that I ate much later than normal last time and we haven't been on any of our walks because of the cold. It's only 2/10 of a pound so I shouldn't worry about it. It will be better next time.

Breakfast: Health Valley Rice Crunch-Ems with milk/water and a sliced banana

Lunch/Dinner: 1 cup of black beans, red onion, cilantro, carrot and a whole wheat tortilla

Snack: 1/2 cup of eggnog

Walked 30 minutes

** finished eating by 5pm

Thanks for your comments on my hubpage about this diet. You have a lot more willpower than I do--I must have my whey protein smoothie in the morning of a fast day, and soup in the afternoon, to get me through. (I'm 5'2 and weigh 152 lbs; I've lost two in the past 6 days of this diet).
I do worry that you're not getting enough protein (sorry, don't mean to sound like a mother hen). I hope you're taking vitamins!

Vix,

You're welcome, you wrote an excellent article.

It seems that quite a few people are also adding a little protein or soup to get through their fasting day. It's obviously working for you! I don't have any qualms about altering my diet if needed in order to successfully continue.

Yes, my protein intake is on the leaner side. My kidneys cannot handle the high protein diets that have become all the rage. I was hospitalized as a teenager when my kidneys began shutting down after eating a high protein diet for several months. Now, if I overdo protein (or refined sugar) my face swells up like a pufferfish.
