Fasting Day 30 -- 136.4

Why can't someone make home exercise equipment for shorter stature people? I've never found a leg curl machine that I can do comfortably, my legs are always too short. Is it so much to ask to make a machine built for someone under 5 and 1/2 feet tall? There must be a whole untapped market: young teens, short women, short men, dwarves?

It is cold and rainy outside today. We did a brief walk -- probably about 20 minutes. I also worked a little bit on the bench, some leg curls and presses and some lat pulldowns and arm curls. 3 sets of 12 reps

There was a link posted on the yahoo fasting group to an article by Dr. Ron Rosedale entitled "Insulin, Leptin, Diabetes, and Ageing: Not So Strange Bedfellows". It is very easy reading, and I recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about health and longevity. Dr. Rosedale mentions in this article that:
The longest-lived animals and people share the following traits:
  • Reduction in fasting glucose
  • Low fasting insulin levels
  • Lower body temperature
  • Low percentage of body (viceral) fat
  • Reduced thyroid levels
  • Low triglycerides
  • Low leptin
